Service Terms

Conversion Path Service Terms

Effective September 15, 2026. Document version: CB-SERVICE-2026-09-15.

Agreement and scope

The accepted written plan, these service terms, the Cancellation & Refunds Policy, and any applicable data-processing agreement form the engagement. A separately agreed written variation governs the specific issue it addresses, subject to mandatory law. Changes to price, scope, access, or customer-facing commercial policies require written approval; silence is not approval.

The Conversion Path is a defined set of store improvements, not an unlimited redesign or a promise to fix every problem. The plan specifies supported pages/themes, included revisions, deliverables, measurement work, excluded tasks, and who approves release. Paid third-party services require separate written authorization.

Fees, milestones, and cancellation

The fee for a standard engagement is provided only in the accepted written plan and is payable only after that acceptance. Any taxes or additional authorized expenses must be disclosed before payment. There is no automatic subscription renewal. The complete policy at Cancellation & Refunds governs earned work and refunds. It provides a full refund before authorized work starts and refunds for unfinished milestones; no ordinary processing-fee deduction or cancellation penalty applies.

Client participation and authorization

The client designates a decision-maker, confirms authority over the store and shared information, supplies accurate product facts/policies and grants only the agreed permissions. The client must not upload unnecessary personal or sensitive data. We agree a secure transfer method for any approved evidence. Delay in essential access or approval may affect the schedule; any pause or cancellation follows the refund policy.

Access is revocable. Revocation does not authorize workarounds or new credentials. Branch & Button does not need the owner's personal Shopify password. Do not begin processing private shopper records merely because a prospect has submitted an application.

Evidence, AI and claims

AI may assist with organizing feedback, recognizing themes and drafting proposed changes. Outputs must be checked against permitted sources and the approved scope. Branch & Button will not knowingly invent customer reviews, product capabilities, eligibility, shipping commitments, warranties, prices or other commercial claims. Material exceptions go back to the client for review. No system receives unrestricted permission to publish new claims or autonomously alter the live store.

Implementation, review and release

Where supported, changes are prepared in a duplicate or draft theme. We document the change, review desktop/mobile behavior and agree the rollback approach. The client reviews the deliverables against the plan. Live rollout requires the designated approval. No approval is inferred from inactivity. We do not promise that every theme, checkout element, app or Shopify plan supports a particular modification.

Evaluation

Before claiming an experimental outcome, the plan identifies assignment, audience, metric, period and decision criteria. Controlled testing is conditional on adequate traffic, permissions and instrumentation. Before/after observations alone do not establish causation. Inconclusive or negative results are reported honestly. Measurement does not automatically include lifetime support, perpetual monitoring, or future optimization rounds unless the plan says so.

Deliverables, confidentiality and corrections

The client retains its pre-existing store content, customer information and intellectual property. After payment of the relevant milestone, the client receives the agreed usable deliverables and rights needed to use the custom implementation in its store. Branch & Button retains its general methods, reusable tools and pre-existing code; any third-party licenses remain applicable. Specify the precise license/assignment in the written plan where needed.

Neither party may disclose the other's confidential information except as permitted for the work, required by law, or independently public. No client name, store screenshot, testimonial or result is used in marketing without separate permission. Correction and refund remedies follow the Cancellation & Refunds Policy; no guaranteed revenue outcome is created by a correction promise.

End of engagement

On completion or termination, hand over paid deliverables, stop unauthorized access, agree removal/revocation of access, and return or delete personal data under the applicable data-processing terms. Retaining required financial or dispute records is subject to the privacy notice and applicable law. The finalized agreement states the provider identity, governing law and any negotiated liability terms without attempting to remove mandatory rights.
